Music From Home
Lesson 4
Hello Grand Haven students!
We music teachers miss you so much! In case you haven't met Miss Miller, she's a new music teacher at Lake Hills and Griffin. Here she is singing the song "Riptide" for you all :) |

Song of the Week:
"Steady Beat" Ever danced or tapped your toe to a song? You were keeping the beat! The steady beat can be found in any song! It is the pulse that keeps the music going. See if you can keep the beat with the song! Clap when & stomp when the song says so! Can you keep the beat somewhere else on your body? Maybe your feet! Or your head! |
Explore a Website:
Got Rhythm? Test out your beat keeping ability! Click on the link & when you are ready, press the play button. Click either the space bar or the mouse of your computer to keep the beat with the drum recording. The drum will fade out and then you are on your own! Can you keep that same beat without the recording? How did you do? Let us know in the contact form! |
|
Extentions:
Percussion Play Along Take a look around your house for a percussion instrument to try out! Percussion instruments are anything you can strike or hit to make a sound. You could use a pot or pan, or maybe even a broomstick! Whatever you find, use that instrument to keep the beat during this song when you see the bee buzzing over the flower! |
Bonus Material:
